On Friday 18th March 2022 I went with a group of photographers from Bracknell Camera Club to Wilder’s Folly in Sulham near Reading. This was my first visit close up to the tower and we had permission to park near the farm buildings at the bottom of the hill. This meant passing by Reading IKEA at around 5-30 pm and thankfully there wasn’t a lot of traffic.
After setting up on the tower I grabbed this shot of the setting sun.
We were not alone on the hill around the tower.
Overhead I watched planes coming from the West in parallel and then veering away to different destinations.
And the silhouette I wanted with the man leaning on the tower.
Then the tower in a longer exposure with some stars.
