Toompea
Out through the gate I took pictures of the other side of the walls and of the other towers. Up in front of us was the Russian Orthodox Cathedral. Up the street was the bar where we had sat in the sunshine and enjoyed their beer in the Summer. The decking and tables were now all gone for the Winter.
Kohtu Street platform
The platforms were not as busy as when we were here in the Summer. The views across the Old Town now were completely different too with sprinkling of snow of all the roofs.
Patkuli Street platform
As I was taking my photographs this seagull decided to come and visit me on the wall below.
The Paktuli Street viewpoint has steps that lead all the way down to Nunne in the Old Town. From the top of the steps this quotation comes into view!
And these are the steps . . .
These are the famous domes of the Alexander Nevski Orthodox Cathedral.
We turned past the Cathedral and went down Pikk Jalc to the Old Town.
And from Pikk Jalc we could look up and see the Kohtu Street viewing platform above us in Toompea.
