The Phantom was then pushed back into the HAS, the lights moved and the smoke generators started!
We all lined up in front of the open HAS to take images of the back-lit Phantom.
The Hunter had been moved from the hard standing ready to go back into the HAS.

We then went in convoy back to the airfield’s entrance. After dropping my [passengers off by their cars I went back to the Travelodge at Beacon Hill. The evening was bitterly cold and the good news was that the snow had yet to appear.
I skipped the nearby fast food places and went straight into the shower to get warm and then bed ready for Colchester the next day.
