This visit to the Mach Loop started earlier than usual as we decided to take a diversion through the Cotswolds instead of driving along motorways.
July 16th – the Cotswolds
Our first stop was at the Cotswold Lavender Farm.
I was asked by this visitor to take her picture and she kindly agreed that I could take a picture of her.
A few miles away from the lavender farm is the Broadway Tower. After climbing up to the viewing platform we explored the field below.
Lunch was a pasty with salad in the cafe near the tower.
In the car park were a couple of vintage Jaguars.
This is from a quick stop on the narrow road below the tower.
I had been to both places a year earlier when we had stayed in Chipping Campden for the weekend.
TY Llew Coch – The Red Lion
We were staying at our favourite place near the Mach Loop – the Red Lion in Dinas Mawddwy.
As in previous visits the food was excellent as was our welcome!
Mach Loop – July 17th – on the Bwlch
We were up early having a breakfast of cereal before letting ourselves out and heading off the Bwlch car park. Even this early the car park was busy. Once at the top of Bwlch we settled down.
