Today I went to Savill Garden hoping to see some mandarin ducks. The ponds were frozen as to be expected at this time of year and access to the little stream where all the ducks congregate was restricted.
Here is one of the frozen ponds …
… and another with the light breaking through the trees onto the frozen surface.
As I was leaving after about an hour in the gardens the sun was lighting up the glades and more visitors were coming in – time to leave.
After listening to a speaker at camera club discussing the merits of intentional camera movement, as I left I shot this image of a couple crossing between two of the ponds but not quite panning fast enough.
More important of all was the restaurant being closed for an upgrade so I missed out on my late morning cup of tea and snacks.
On the way back to the A30 I visited the Air Force Memorial that overlooks Runnymede.
