We were visiting New Jersey in February 2019 and borrowed season tickets to visit the USS Intrepid Museum moored at Pier 86 in New York.
The USS Intrepid took part in both WW2 and the Vietnam Wars. Plus I remember her being used to recover US space capsules in the 1960s.
USS Growler
Docked next to USS Intrepid was the submarine USS Growler. On her deck was a replica nuclear cruise missile, a Regulus missile, from the Cold War era.

Lunch on the Intrepid
We didn’t brink lunch with us and went to the rather inhospitable cafeteria below decks. The food was expensive and wasn’t particularly good.

Through a door we could see a replica Mercury capsule.

At the side of USS Intrepid was British Airways Concorde G-BOAD.
