I recently clicked on a link from one of the @GoogleFacts parody accounts by mistake and was pleased to see that Twitter flagged up the danger of going to the website by a check on the short link.
So at last Twitter is performing (some) checks on short links. Thank you.
Now Twitter, please add checks for every URL in Direct Messages . . .
On my desktop computer, I have set the DNS to use OpenDNS to give an extra check against ‘bad’ websites not were picked up by my virus checking software.
