Charing Cross footbridge
We went up the escalators to join the downstream footbridge at Charing Cross station. Once past the buildings we noticed that panels from an earlier Landscape Photographer of the Year were fastened on hoardings!
On the concrete support we looked down to see the broken skate boards memorial.
In the middle of the bridge we came to a small group of people, a photographer with a tripod mounted camera, another with a smartphone and finally an assistant sat on the floor surrounded by camera bags. In front of the group was this man posing with a rose.
South Bank
We went down to the South Bank and I stopped to see the skaters. Inside the skate park this tag was being created.
Opposite the skate park we bought “99s” from the ice-cream van. The seller was not the usual person but was as usual pretty grumpy. Plus I’m never convinced about the same hands handling the cones as the money…Yuk!
