At the end of July we went to Chipping Campden for a two night stay in the Cotswolds at the Noel Arms Hotel.
On our way we stopped for lunch on the A424 at The Cotswold Food Store & Cafe. This was just outside Longborough – excellent sandwiches!

Definitely the place to stop for lunch
We were about 15 minutes early before lunch was being served so we had a short wait – the guy on the till was so apologetic that this did not matter in the least. Everyone who we met in the cafe and in the shop were friendly and helpful.
The sandwiches when they came were generous and tasted great definitely a place to stop when in the Cotswolds

The hotel was on the High Street and parking was through an archway to the car park beyond. Once we had checked in we went for a walk up and down the High Street.
This sign caught my eye outside one of the restaurants with a quote from Lily Bollinger.

Once back at the hotel we sat outside on the raised patio for a drink and to look at our maps to decide where to go the following day.
It seems that Thursday night was curry night and the restaurant was full. We waited until the rush had gone and had a quiet table in the corner of the restaurant where we enjoyed our curries.
Afterwards we went back onto the High Street for a stroll. The Market Hall provided us with some late evening images.
