While we were in La Palma we visited the covered market and stumbled across one of the stalls where fresh sugar cane was being crushed and served as a cooling drink.
When you visit the stall is right at the back of the hall on the right hand side – you’ll know that you are there as you’ll hear the sugar cane crusher and there will be a queue of fellow travellers.

Here is the basic ingredient.And the machine that does the crushing of the sugar cane. Limes and lemons are added as the cane is fed through the machine.
