We were in London for an evening dinner cruise on the Thames with City Experiences.
Battersea Power Station
At Waterloo we caught the Northern Line extension to Battersea. The ‘power station’ was not very busy and we explored the halls before going outside.
On one of the walls was a collage of famous people resembling street art.
At 3:45pm we found a chic coffee bar and stopped for a break.
The South Bank
From Westminster tube station we crossed over the bridge to the South Bank while we waited for boarding time.
Down from the bridge is the Wall of Remembrance.
It took a little while to get a clear shot of the Elizabeth Tower.
Dinner cruise on the Thames
We walked back over a very busy Westminster Bridge to the pier. This time we queued inside and soon the whole waiting room was full of people. Boats came and went while we waited. When our boat came the weather had turned and we had to dash across the dock to get onboard. We had upgraded for a table by the window and we were seated on the starboard side close to the dance floor.
I was using my Canon EOS M50 for the evening. Here are the images…
Canary Wharf and now back to Westminster Pier
In between courses I had dashed onto the upper deck to take pictures. Meanwhile the entertainer was doing her best to get everyone up dancing…
Then we were off the boat and heading thorough the short tunnel to Westminster Underground Station and then onto Waterloo. The rain had held off most of the rest of the evening. The food was as good as before.
This is a highly recommended way to to see London.
