This was my first workshop with Brian Lloyd Duckett and was billed as the West End and Soho workshop on Saturday June 18th 2021. This was a milestone day for me personally as it was the first time I had travelled on public transport or been in London since January 2020.
I travelled on an almost empty South West Train and then onto Waterloo. Then a gentle walk along the South Bank to where the group met up behind the coffee shop beneath the Oxo building.

Back along the South Bank
After briefing by Brian we walked back towards Waterloo Bridge.
This young lady was already posing for photographers on the steps.
Up the steps we paused as a group to practise taking silhouettes through the pedestrian Tunnel.
Over Waterloo Bridge
The Strand
Then it was time for a lunch break at Pret a Manger and to rest our feet for a while.
Trafalgar Square
Passing St Martin-in-the-Fields this artist was capturing his latest painting in his smartphone.
Once in the square we split up and wandered around among all the tourists.
Jermyn Street
As we walked along Pall Mall this young lady posed for me with her skateboard.
After Pall Mall we turned up Waterloo Place and past Hotel Sofitel, one of the more memorable hotels I have stayed at in earlier years. Then we walked to St James’s Street and back.
We paused and watched this demonstration pass by.
These two ladies walked down the middle of Jermyn Street oblivious of the demo and of potential traffic hazards!
At the corner of Jermyn Street and Haymarket we we watched a parade of trotting horses mixed up with traffic.
