This visit to London’s South BankĀ was one of the meet-ups organised by the Farnborough Camera Club. The original plan was to take a walk around Shoreditch and Brick Lane but the forecast weather was for a particularly hot day so we decided to stay alongside the Thames for the day.
Royal Festival Hall
After leaving Waterloo we walked to the South Bank via the Royal Festival Hall.
The Jubilee Bridges were very busy and we spent some time around them.
Walking along the South Bank
Around one of the ice-cream vans a crowd had gathered.
In the crowd this lady had a kitten in her backpack.
Our next stop was the skate park. Not very busy but this guy was trying over and over to get his stunt to work while being videoed by a friend.
The book sellers had laid out their tables under the next bridge.
Close to the Oxo building on the South Bank.
Under Blackfriars Bridge
After my many attempts since first visiting this part of the South Bank with Damien DeMolder, I spent quite a while there experimenting with my camera until I captured these shots..
St Pauls from the South Bank and a bench.
These guys found themselves the subject of five other photographers!
