In July I went on a rail trip around the UK presenting LinkedIn and Twitter training seminars, with Dennis Brown of UK4Business, in Edinburgh, Manchester and finally in Birmingham.
This is a note about the first of the training seminars in Edinburgh along with some testimonials and suggestions from the attendees.
We travelled up to Edinburgh the afternoon before the first day. Our East Coast Mainline train was empty and we had very personal service all the way. My favourite part of this train journey is crossing the River Tyne and seeing all the other bridges across the river.
Our first seminar was LinkedIn on the 10th July at the Edinburgh Training and Conference Venue.
As is our custom at all our seminars we asked about particular issues and these covered how to generate more business, how to set up and maintain company pages and the relationship between personal accounts and company pages.
We did have a few issues with the internet connection dropping out, this kept Dennis busy sorting out the issues with the venue organisers.

The afternoon session was on Twitter and we spent time explaining how Twitter worked and especially how to use it to promote websites and the importance of interacting with Followers.
Very informative. Should help us to get info about us out there from Donald
