We had a full days training in Birmingham at etc.venues’ Maple House with LinkedIn and Twitter social media for business in association with UK4Business.
We had travelled from Chester to Birmingham in the early evening. On the train we discussed with a solicitor the issues of privacy in social media and the irony of their employer promoting social media on the company website but banning access to LinkedIn for all employees, making it impossible for employees to ‘connect’ with clients.
Arriving early evening left us plenty of time to visit the Christmas Market. Birmingham is twinned with Frankfurt and with that association now boasts the largest German Christmas Market in the UK.
The first seminar in the morning was LinkedIn.
Here are the initial queries of the attendees to the morning’s training.
How to use LinkedIn for targeted marketing
What is the business Development perspective?
Can I use LinkedIn to track my competitors?
I want to increase customer contact (in our sectors)
Tell me about LinkedIn’s features (what am I missing?)
How much time should I spend on LinkedIn?
Advice on LinkedIn ‘etiquette’ please
We were interrupted by the windows being cleaned!
