On Friday August 3rd 2012 I gave a scheduled 1.5 hour training session on using Twitter for marketing for the Royal Windsor Chapter of BNI.
The venue for BNI Royal Windsor is the Legoland Hotel just outside Windsor.
I was fascinated by the number of guests (young and old) who were in the Lego shop as I arrived at 06:30 – you’re never too early to buy Lego it seems. As a venue it was excellent with very helpful staff and I particularly like the piles of Lego in front of every attendee and these were put to good use to make ‘things’ through out the morning !
My training session started after the full meeting of the Chapter. The topics covered were ‘Having a Marketing Plan’, the main section was all about Twitter followed with a brief look at Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
I was fortunate to have a couple of members who queried the value of social media marketing and what it could achieve for them in their particular businesses.
Nevertheless we managed to get through all the material so that all the attendees left with a good grounding on what Twitter was all about.
I would just like to express my thanks to you for “opening the door” into the wonderful world of Social Media for the Royal Windsor members earlier today.

Considering you were constantly questioned by non-believers I think you handled the comments and heckling very well.
From Guy V
You did a great job of squeezing a quart into a pint pot, because you had so much to cover in such a short time.
