On our last afternoon in St Petersburg, TJ Travel took us to the Peterhof Palace and then a ride back to the city on a hydrofoil.
I had hoped to take pictures of the Russian Navy as we reached the storm barrier but Explorer was one of the last ships to leave port and I gave up waiting to have dinner.
Our first cruise on Royal Caribbean took us to Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki, St Petersburg, Tallinn, Stockholm, Skagen, Stavanger and back to Southampton.
Sunday 30th June: Second afternoon in St Petersburg Russia
Valeri was waiting for us across the street from Zvenigorodskaya Station.
It was only a short drive to the restaurant for lunch.
We started with the soup, then beef stroganoff and finished with cake and black tea. I bought a beer off for seven euros to wash the stroganoff down.
The service was typically what we come to expect in a Russian tourist restaurant with a main course being thrust at us before we had finished our soup. The other tour groups were on their cakes so perhaps our small group was later than planned.
The last stop of our two days in St Petersburg was the Peterhoff Palace. I did manage to catch some sleep on our way there.
