The Pub Khlebnikov
Our next stop was to be for lunch at the restaurant where we had eaten before in Pushkin. The Pub Khlebnikov. There were other tourist parties in the side alcoves and on one of the long tables. Lunch was borscht, chicken with cold vegetables (cauliflower beans and carrots), followed by ice cream and a cup of tea.
The meal was disappointing hopefully if we came again TJ travel will have found a replacement place to eat in Pushkin.
Cathedral of Catherine the Martyr
Outside we could hear heavy metal music playing on one of the streets at the side of the great Cathedral of Catherine the Martyr. There was a street party in full swing with stalls and parked cars. I could see a Dodge Charger and a Mustang parked in front of one of the marquees.
The Cathedral looked magnificent in the sunshine and I walked up to the open spaces to get a closer look.
The drive back from Pushkin was just as frenetic as our journey there. Our afternoon started with a visit to Saint Isaac‘s Cathedral.
