At the Anchor and Hope
Further back up the Thames Path was the Anchor and Hope pub.
We sat outside across the road from the pub in their beer garden. The umbrllas were handy as we did get some rain while we had a beer and some of our colleagues partook of the seafood from the vendor in the car park.
By the Thames
Just past the pub we discovered some steps that lead onto the beach at the side of the Thames.
Our colleagues now went back to the Barrier to wait for sunset and to capture views through the Barrier of Canary Wharf at night. I have never seen a sign controlling how many dogs can be exercised before – clearly a serious problem on the Greenwich Peninsula. Once past all the industry the Thames Path goes past a series of apartment buildings and this pond. This is one of the towers supporting the Emirates Skyway that links to the other side of the river.
