Dinner at the Indiana Cafe
The Indiana Cafe was only a few hundred yards away from my hotel and I decided that Mexican food would be a change! Inside the cafe was almost empty and I was seated in a side an alcove that looked out onto the the Rue Sofflot. Just outside the window the tables were full of a large group of people enjoying a drink.
After my meal I ordered a second beer and sat and watched the street outside.
These two ladies were both on their smartphones.
Walking around the Latin Quarter in the evening
As it was still early evening in Paris I explored some more of the Latin Quarter and went looking for the Banksy that had been opposite the Sorbonne.
I turned right off the Rue Soufflot and walked down Rue Victor Cousin until I reached the Place de la Sorbonne. The wall that the Banksy had been on was re-painrted and a pasteup was no on the corner.
I then turned right and walked back up the Boulevard Saint-Michel. Quite a few shops were still open and I bought a bottle of red wine in one, discounted down to 3.50 Euros. Then back up the Rue Sofflot and into the hotel. The night porter saw my bottle of wine and persuaded me to have a wine glass as that was the only way to drink wine – what a star!
Opposite the hotel were two pieces of street art.
Opening my windows and looking down, this was the other.
Theses are the views from my window.
To the right there was a bar that was only just opening ….
Before I settled down I had a little more sorting out of my cameras gear and working out where to charge my phone..
