Another half day at sea
We now had another half day at sea to contend with. Our balcony was in the full sun and everywhere outside was very humid. A quick change and we were in the shade at the side of one of the pools. An American Football was on the big screen behind us. After being woken up a few times by all the excited fans around us I went up to Deck 15. There were birds alongside the ship diving down to catch fish.
This part of the deck was in the full sun so I gave up on the upper decks and moved down to our balcony to see if I could get a better view of the birds. They would fly past at the side of the ship before turning and sometimes diving down into the water. This show lasted until around 4 pm when the birds simply stopped returning to fly down the side of the ship.
Zach Winningham again
At 5 pm we were passing North of Maasichi in Columbia as we were getting ready for the evening. Zach Winningham was going to be playing in the lounge at 6.30 pm. W arrived early at the lounge and the doors were closed and we joined the queue. After a short wait we were seated close by the stage and had ordered our beer and sparkling wine …
It seemed that lots of other passengers wanted to see as well and we joined the queue. This lounge has a balcony and was unusual on ships that we’d been on before that it could accommodate everyone who wanted to see the show.
He was excellent again and being close to the front I managed these images with my iPhone.
Dinner in the Bordeaux
There was a queue for the Bordeaux restaurant after the show. We were lucky and the queue moved quickly and we were soon in the restaurant on a table for 12 but with just 11 passengers.
We had a lively evening’s conversation covering US airport security, the fires North of San Francisco and only dipping Brexit and Trump for a short while!
On the advice of our table companions we skipped the act on at 9.30 pm and went to bed early.
The ship’s clock would be going back by and hour ready for our visit to Cartagena.
