After our morning on Monterey Bay we had lunch and walked along to Cannery Row.
Our cruise through the Panama Canal started in Fort Lauderdale and would take us to Aruba, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and finally San Francisco and then onto Monterey.
Fish and Chips on Fisherman’s Wharf
After our morning on Monterey Bay whale watching it was time for a some lunch and a rest.
At the end of the Wharf is a restaurant famous for its fish and chips. As the only customers that afternoon we were rewarded with a free entree. As we sat we watched Blackfin leave (probably for a mooring at Moss Landing) as the afternoon trip had been cancelled.
I added a pint of Fat Lip (!) to my fish and chips as we planned to spend our afternoon around Monterey and no driving for a while.
Walking to Cannery Row
There is a foot and cycle path that links the Wharf to Cannery Row. This was a pleasant walk in the sunshine. As we walked we watched the birds and sea lions below us on the sea shore.
