On Sunday we caught the ferry over to Sausilito to have brunch.
Our cruise through the Panama Canal started in Fort Lauderdale and would take us to Aruba, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and finally San Francisco and then onto Monterey.
Breakfast in Marina
The traffic on Lombard had started later because it was Sunday. The noise woke me up at 7.30 am and then it was time to go and get our early morning drinks from Noahs. This my route from Lombard round to Chestnut.
Only ordering drinks was so unusual at Noahs that the guy behind the counter was concerned that I didn’t want breakfast. Walking back to the hotel I noticed that the mist (or fog) was still covering the buildings up on the hill.
Once we had had the drinks and showered we left for our breakfast back at Noahs. I had the Farmhouse bagel with schmear, egg and ham again.
To the Sausilto Ferry at Fisherman’s Wharf
The MUNI trolley buses were running by now and we caught the Route 30 down to Fisherman’s Wharf at Hyde. We then walked along towards the piers.
These are the shops being developed at Fisherman’s Wharf.
The Bay was still misty as we looked at Alcatraz.
Once at the Blue & Gold ticket office at Pier 41 we bought our tickets for the ferry to Sausilito. While we waited I tool the opportunity to grab a few pictures of the Bay and of the city.
In the queue for the ferry at 11 am we crossed paths with the New Zealanders from Napier who were also on their way to Sausilito.
