14. Pass under the’Bridge of Sighs’
We paused to watch ‘wedding photographs’ with the bridge in the background …
… and the rain continued
15. Turn right then left in to Broad Street and walk past the Museum of the History of Science
Around the corner I found some graffiti on a postbox (my hopes of adding streetart to my collection were not fulfilled this day)
After sheltering we moved on in the rain
16. Turn left in to Turl Street and then walk down until you reach the junction of Brasenose Lane and Market Street. If you have lots of time time turn right into Market Street and go in the covered market. Otherwise turn left in to Brasenose Lane and return to the starting point
… and we sheltered in the Covered Market
…. and then along Brasenose Lane with lots of places to take reflections
After the Oxford Photowalk
If you decide to follow the walk please do tweet out a thank you to Brian.
Thank you Brian, for the PhotoWalk directions in #Oxford @p4pictures Click To TweetBrian had sent us not only directions (the text above) but a list of questions that could only be answered by keeping your eyes open along the walk. After a brief presentation ceremony to those on the walk who answered the questions we made our ways home or on to a local pub.
As we were winding up, a wedding reception was taking place behind us in the square and the photographer paused to take some stock images of the Radcliffe Camera.
I walked back down Brasenose Lane to catch the bus back to the car park. The rain continued and at the bus stop I watched another wedding party crossing the road heading for their reception.
Advice – if you decide to use the Park and Ride then make sure you have a satnav as there are only limited road signs to take you from the car park back to the A34.
