We had sailed later than planned from St John’s for our return Atlantic crossing and now looked forward to five sea days.
Day 21: Friday 14th October 2022: North Atlantic
Sky Princess was rolling in the night, but not enough to really wake us up.
This was our position just after 9:30 am.
We had a late breakfast before going on a walk around the top deck. On our walk there was a definite chill in the air.
After our walk I went to the grill on Deck 17 for lunch. The street chicken tacos and by request just a single hot dog sausage were excellent as usual.
Afternoon at sea
In the afternoon we stayed in our cabin watching movies with the odd foray out of the balcony to watch the birds around the ship. The ship was rolling a lot and we were happy to be in the warm in our room to wait out the weather.
At 5pm went to the Vista Lounge for hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine. For a change of scenery we went to Deck 6 mid-ships for dinner.
As usual were offered to share a table. It was a surprise that we were shown to a table for 12 laid out like a banqueting table. Our seats would have been at the end. We apologised and asked to be taken to another table. I’m not sure if the tables occupants were offended but we didn’t want to sit there. We were taken to a table for four and eventually were joined by another couple.
The Trawlermen
In the theatre ‘The Trawlerman’ were the featured act. After only a couple of numbers we decided this was really not for us. Rather than walk out we agreed not to bother with any more of their shows. Unusual for us not to appreciate artists.
Afterwards we went to the piazza and enjoyed what remained of Ocean Boulevard’s set. The time changes for our return started, and we remembered to set our clocks back one hour.
The day ended as it had begun with the ship rolling again with swell.
