Farnborough Camera Club each year has a a joint evening with Oberursel’s Camera Club (PCO). One of my images was included in Farnborough Camera Clubs’ entries. Each club had put forward 14 images for the judge to comment and mark.

…I am not sure if you have set this up or saw it and then captured it; however you did it is a great moment caught
…obviously the guy is very much the subject, the centre of attention
…that is a lovely expression, he really is sort of saying “what have you got on your phone?” or “what’s that?” and that really is coming through, that is really quite something
…I get the feeling that you are fairly close, there is lots of definition there
…Aperture wide-ish but not too wide so we can actually see a hint of background
…he has got an Oxford University t-shirt on, I have a feeling that possibly with bikes, behind railings, Cotswold stone walls behind we can see , again you are tieing very much the feeling that its a university town, with university students and something is going on, so I think you have managed to put a lot of information over in a locality; whether it is right or wrong I don’t know but that is the message and the story that I get

…again lots of detail both in the dark of the coat, the trousers, her dress and even the boots you can see the texture there, you have not lost any detail
…there is a hint that you may be losing a little bit on the arm of the guy with the highlights there but I think that the detail is there and I might just have toned that in just a little bit, I am really being very mean in picking that out

The image was from the Worldwide Photo Walk in Oxford for 2023. The image was taken at the starting point of the walk by the Radcliffe Camera. This couple had taken an image with the Radcliffe Camera as a backdrop and then examined their selfie. I had entered also in the PDI Trophy Competition in 2023-2024.
