Vale Crucis Abbey
The road to the abbey took us down a sharp incline towards a farm then past the farm buildings and into a caravan park.
We parked alongside the walls around the abbey’s site and walked through the gates into the abbey’s grounds. The visitor centre was closed and we were luckily still able to get access.

The abbey had been a Cistercian abbey with a long tradition before its destruction.
