Visiting Bala
We drove down the main street and managed to find a parking space. We skipped the offers of bacon or sausage baps for £1 and instead went into the White Hart Hotel for a coffee.
Berwyn Railway Station
After satisfying ourselves that we seen enough of Bala we set off along the A5 towards Llangollen. As we reached the Berwyn Railway Station we turned off sharp right down the B5103 to head towards the Horseshoe Falls. As the road turn sharp right again we we could see in front of us the bridge of the Dee and behind us a waterfall under the road above us. We parked and walked back over the bridge to see all these bridges, the river, the canal and a waterfall – all together.
As we watched we heard voices below us and this couple were paddling along the canal below us.
Looking down the River Dee we could see the chain bridge that gave the hotel on the other side of the river its name.
These trees were dropping their needles and the road away from the bridge where the car was parked had several inches of their needles.
