The night bus
This location of my November light trails workshop in London was opposite St Pauls.
Summary of judge’s comments
… Again quite popular this kind of photography with light shoots taken with a long exposure, and you have managed to catch this bus passing by St Paul’s ther, we can see the detail of the building showing through the glass as the bus is passing
… I think the challenge with these kind of shots is what time time of day do you take them and I do wonder here in this one whether this is really a little bit too late. We have lost any detail really in the sky there at all . This really is a dark evening and you are capturing it with the light trails
… I think it really works well
… at this level, would I like to have seen it just a little bit straighter? There are a lot of converging verticals in the image . You have chosen to leave them in and that is fine, on the right hand side of the telephone box a 10 degree or something vertical shift and the same with the left hand building
… what we got here is almost a combination of architectural shot and a creative shot and it is probably just a matter of where you are putting the focus whether not the right thing to do would be just to pull those verticals back again
… as it stands I’d still like to hold that one back

The bright lights around St Pauls made processing more difficult than I had intended. I Next visit I will ensure they are masked by the phone box.
