Street art near ‘Art Gallerie’
Under the bridge we passed this art.
At the side of the Gallerie is this art of a couple kissing – the real-life couple were having their photo taken by their daughter!
After the bridge we climbed the steps by the buildings and carried on exploring the streets along the river.
Lunch at Lokal
After going down to the river on these streets we made our way back towards the bridge and stopped at this restaurant for lunch.
‘Lokal’ had many rooms and the one we sat in had a bar with lots of intricate pipes. To our side was the central corridor that linked the rooms to the kitchen and rest rooms.
As we watched the corridor outside, it slowly filled up as people queued up for tables. Our lunch was excellent. I was fascinated by what was happening at the bar in front of us.
The men’s toilets were wall papered with adverts and magazines from the communist days.
These dolls were in one of the shop windows as we neared the bridge again along Mostecka.
On Charles Bridge
The bridge was very busy and I used my iPhone to capture the movement of the crowds.
As we waited for the traffic lights to cross to Karlova, trams passed and we could see the visible support for the Ukraine.
BMW M5 Competition
After lunch we walked back over Charles Bridge on Karlova by theĀ Cathedral. There was this pristine BMW M5 competition that was parked there.
