Early start Friday 29th June
In order to get to see sunrise at Corfe Castle we were again early risers. This time it was 4 am. We quietly left the caravan and drove to the National Trust car park.
Up West Hill opposite Corfe Castle
We crossed the road and followed the path across the field and started our climb back up the hill.In Mark’s book he has documented various vantage points for taking images of the Castle and we had decided that up the West Hill would be perfect if there was any mist. See pages 32 to 37 inclusive.
Unfortunately for us there was no mist this particular morning.
The West Hill felt just as steep this morning!
Here’s the Castle in the early morning light.
Sunrise
Once we reached the top we looked East for the sunrise.
