Back to Durdle Door holiday site
As we walked back to start our climb back over the hill we spotted this rather dusty 4×4 in the car park. The car had a few messages left in the dust.
Here’s the view as we started to climb out of Lulworth Cove….
…. and the view looking back down.
Looking over the hills to the Durdle Door caravan site.
Once back at the public car park we looked down and could see Durdle Door and the crowds on the path.
Once back at the site we watched large groups boarding their coaches before we headed off to the site’s bar to have a rest and drink.
Evening on Durdle Door beach
After having our meal we took a break and rested as we knew that we would have long evening ahead of us down on Durdle Door beach.
As we walked down to Durdle Door there was a steady stream of people coming the other way. The beach was still busy even at 8.10 pm.
We walked along the beach to get a better view and to explore the cliffs towards Bat’s Head.
We could hear a drone flying somewhere behind us. I took these images of the drone with my telephoto lens from the beach.
Below the drone pilot two brave souls were scrambling along the top of Durdle Door.
Definitely not where I’d want to be scrambling!
We watched the sunset while we waited for the moon rise.
