Corfe Castle and the train
After leaving Swanage we headed for Corfe and the castle there. We parked in the National Trust car park and walked up the railway embankment to get a better look at the castle. A quick check on the Internet and we found out that withing 20 minutes or so a train would be coming down the line.
The line runs from Swanage to Corfe and has been painstaking restored by enthusiasts.
Durdle Door
We stopped at a small shop as we left West Lulworth to pick up some fresh milk. Our last stop in the car was at the caravan park above Durdle Door where we had a caravan booked.
After unpacking our kit we set off to walk to cliffs above Durdle Door. We walked through the caravan site to the large public car park at the top of the hill.
The walk down to the cliffs was steep (and even steeper when walking back up!)
We stayed on the cliff tops before walking back up to our caravan. Our workshop was the next day. We had an early start as we had to meet Mark in the Corfe Castle National Trust car park at 3.45 am.
