Day 11: Tuesday 28th February 2023: At sea
We had a late breakfast in the Grill. I now had a routine with my favourite breakfast of Eggs Benedict followed by a small pot of Yakult. We started our walk on Deck 6 and then we moved up to Deck 14.
In the Captain’s update of the day included the plan for the ship to stay overnight in Flam.
After lunch in the Grill, we had a rest in the cabin before getting ready for the formal evening. The Living Room was not very busy when we met our friends for pre-dinner drinks.
Northern Lights
Then it was a mad rush for the cabin when the Captain announced that we had the Northern Lights again around the ship. I went back to the top decks again with all my camera gear. The Northern Lights show was not as spectacular as the other evening.
The decks were also not as busy and I was able to try my shots from the forward Observation Deck as well as on the sides of the Deck 14 by the doors to the lift.
As we went back inside we were greeted by a crew member with hot chocolate laced with Baileys. This was further proof on how thoughtful Saga were.
The evening performance
Back in the Britannia lounge, we watched the crew show and there were lots of very talented performers. I was particularly impressed with the crew member who played Santana’s Europa on his electric guitar.
The crew member who had been giving out the hot chocolate an hour before out on the deck was there too on the piano.
When we were back in the room we had the tickets for our boat trip in Stavanger. The other paperwork was the details of our disembarkation in Portsmouth.
