Time for lunch
I managed a quick shot of the bridge from the side of the Grand Canal.
We tried to find the cosy restaurant that we had eaten at on our previous visit.
After too much wandering around in circles we went into the next restaurant we came to, the Tiziano Snack Bar..
We sat at the back on a table for two and ordered the lunch special of a beer plus pizza. An English lady came and sat at the side of us on the next table and we chatted. The restaurant was very busy and even had an impromptu queue at the bar waiting for tables. A couple sat down at the table next to us in the middle of the room and started arguing with the new waitress in Italian. The waitress turned and pointed at us and shrugged before walking away.
When she brought our pizzas and beers they were quite literally thrown at the table. Clearly we were sitting at a regular‘s favourite table!
The lady next to ours was also off Oceana and liked us just needed to sit and rest as well as have a drink. When Linda went to the bathroom our ‘friendly’ waitress brought a customer to take Linda’s seat. They both went to a grumpy when I pointed out the pizza and beer had yet to be finished.
This restaurant is clearly not the tourists.
