Looking back.
Our lunch was eating more of the huge amounts of food that had been brought to us for breakfast and watching out of the port side of Oceana from our balcony.
Nearing Port Said
Back out on the observation deck I watched a train passing by on the port side.
Looking to the starboard (East) side of the canal.
On the starboard side I could see a long queue of trucks waiting to catch a ferry.
With even more joining.
Beached boats just of the canal.
The ferry for the trucks.
The road on the port side was rutted and muddy as the trucks left the ferry.
Now we could see the queue on the port side.
Port Said
The cranes of port now were visible through the mist on the starboard side.
As I watched Part Said past by, the rain started. I was by now the only person on the formal observation deck. This meant I could choose where to go to some shelter from the rain.
