Afternoon on Oceana
For a late lunch I had the mixed grill followed by ice cream. We sat on the balcony for the rest of the afternoon reading and resting.
Leaving Muscat
We went up to the sailaway.
This was a restrained version as Oceana slowly left her berth and turned to port and then went out of the harbour.
This evening was Tropical Night and I put on yet another Hawaiian shirt but looking around at the dinner looking around at the restaurant I seem to be the only one who had bothered. We went early for dinner and I had asparagus with an egg, Chicken Kiev and then a treacle tart. Not very diet conscious meal.
Evening on Oceana
As we had eaten early we went to the singer,Peter Cutler’s show. Then we went to see Beats 45 later in the evening.
Again the Beats 45 show was excellent. Then finally we went out on the Lido deck and a dance at the tropical party there before calling it a night.

Weather Partly Cloudy, Haze, DryWith an early arrival to Muscat, planned the 12-4 watch commenced the preparations for the arrival. SBB was rung at 06:00 and the pre-arrival checklists completed soon after.
Captain Camby brought Oceana into the harbour clear of the breakwaters then stopped her dead in the water before using the thrusters and astern propulsion to back in onto the berth starboard side to the quay. Once alongside 16 mooring lines were used to hold the ship in position and two gangways rigged for our Guests to head off and explore.
For departure, the team was briefed for the manoeuvre. Once all the final checks and formalities were complete the Captain thrust the vessel laterally off the berth to a safe distance, before coming ahead and hard to port to manoeuvre the ship back out to sea. Courses were then made northwards towards the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.
