Day 12 Friday 29th March: Into the Red Sea
I was awake at 6 am and out on deck at 6.30 am. The observation space forward on Deck 10 was open for all the early birds. I was one of the first passengers out there. I was glad that had put many layers of clothes on as it was quite cool out there. Oceana will still hammering along at over 19 knots and this only added to to the cold air on deck
To our port side there were other ships also going through the narrows in the daylight.
The coast of Yemen was on our starboard side. I looked through my big lens at the shoreline. Occasionally I could see buildings on top of the cliffs.
After about 20 minutes we passed what looked like a village and between the ship and the shore there was another collection of small fishing boats.
