This Timeline Event was at The Harlington in Fleet, which is only a short distance away. My session was in the morning and ran from 11 am to 1.30 pm.
The car park at the back of the building proved a little difficult to fathom. I put my money in without reading properly the instructions and received a ticket for someone else’s car. Reading the instructions I learnt to enter car registration number first. Beware!
I sat in the Harlington’s cafe and had a cup of tea while I waited to enter the hall. It was cold there so I was pleased that I’d decided to layer up.
The format of the session was that ringmaster would introduce each of the four acts. We would have all the hall to move around in and if we wanted stand on chairs to try and by on a level with the acts.
First round of acts
The Ringmaster.
The juggler came on did a lot of tricks with ping pongs in his mouth and spitting them out – I didn’t take any pictures.
Next we had a lady with hoops. This is when I how difficult the lighting was to be for the rest of the morning. It cycled through bright background colours that confused me let alone my camera. Just one set of lighting with mainly white rather than colours produced the best images.
The contortionist was simply amazing….
Then the last act – with fire!
