On Sky Princess after leaving Saint John we went to see Chris Watkins in the theatre. On stage he was accompanied by the Sky Princess Orchestra.
His show started late at 10 pm and was called ‘Fireworks on Four Strings with Chris Watkins’. He had been travelling for many days, trying to catch up with the ship after all the itinerary changes. The travel agents had not helped by sending him to St John (Newfoundland) rather than to Saint John (New Brunswick).
We learnt about his unique Yamaha violin encrusted with Swarovski crystals and valued at $50k (if my memory serves correctly.)
We were sitting quite close to the stage and I was using my R5 with an 85mm lens.
