Rockland’s boardwalk
After docking we were greeted by volunteers who gave us local maps and advised us that the best walk along the boardwalk was to our left. We joined everyone else taking advantage of the warm weather and walked along the boardwalk.
This interesting sculpture was at the side of the path.
We passed open areas, small beaches and after a restaurant on the shore we came to railway lines and a factory complex.
On our right there were houses that did not get great views because of the factory.
Once we reached the Museum of Sail rather than walk back we went up the slight hill and walked along the residential streets until we came to a junction.
On the opposite side of the road was a girl on roller skates and dressed in a black and white costume. I shouted across to ask what she “was“and she shouted back she was dressed like a puffin.
