After our day of landscape photography we planned to go up onto the Bwlch. The Met Office app had promised clearer skies than the day before.
We had an early breakfast in the back dining room at the Red Lion. Our packed lunches were in the ‘fridge. We left the pub just after 7.30 am. We still had a back door key so we could leave without disturbing anyone.
The Bwlch
There was just one other car in the car park as we set off for our climb. We again went the long way up the hill before we joined the path that ran along and in the stream in the first steep part of the climb. Up on Top Ledge we were the only photographers again, just like earlier in the year.
Later in the morning directly below us there was another photographer and …
… later a couple arrived again below us. They came after the F-15s had past through.
We did have some blue sky in between the clouds that rolled over us. The visibility slowly improved throughout the day. However, it was cold enough for me to regret not bringing my chemical hand warmers.
Rain at noon
After the rain we did get a rainbow.
The car park below looked busier too.
