This was my first visit to Bushy Park. I went with three colleagues from my camera club. We arrived at about 6.15 at the park gates and had to wait until 6.30 for them to open.
As we drove through the park past Princess Diana’s statue we were immediately aware of the local parakeets flying alongside the road. The hope for mist wasn’t present. After parking we walked back towards where we had seen the deer. The fenced gardens were all locked and we would have to wait until they were opened.
The park was very busy with dog walkers, cyclists, runners and others simply walking through.
Bushy Park deer
The deer were grazing or simply resting and allowed us to get close enough to get shots such as these.
On the way back to the cafe, for a late breakfast, we passed through the now open gardens.
I can recommend the bacon roll for breakfast at the cafe! We then walked across the park to have a look at the water garden. I tried a longer exposure with my camera hand held.

The park by now was getting very busy and as we walked back through the now open gardens. There were quiet pools with lots of reflections along with a group of Mandarin ducks deep in the grass.
