Afternoon at sea
Lunch was in Alfredo’s for a pizza and a bottle of Grolsch.
Back on Deck 8 aft, the sun and now moved round. There was no wind chill but it was still cold and we went down to Deck 7, the Promenade Deck. We chatted to a another passenger about current affairs and in particular saving for retirement. He had chosen to take personal control of his pension funds and was now doing a lot better than the professionals that he had before. His recommendation was to read the ‘Big Short’ as a demonstration of how bad professionals could be.
This was splash from a whale that I managed to catch.
We gave up looking for whales as our jet lag had returned. We returned to the cabin for a lie down and to watch the ‘Black Panther’ movie. After the movie I went out on our balcony. I was very cold with the wind chill.
Dinner in the Provence Restaurant again
At 7.30 pm we joined the queue for the Bordeaux. Again we were asked again if we wanted to share. Once again we were taken upstairs to the Provence restaurant. There we were with one of our table companions from the previous evening, she was from Victoria near Vancouver and was a retired post lady. The other ladies were from the USA and one of them was on her first ever cruise. They told us of their plans to go on the zip wire and to go kayaking at Icy Straight Point.
My steak tenderloin was delicious and I started the meal with a Waldorf salad and French onion soup.
