Talkeetna
As we passed through Talkeetna could see all the Princess Cruises coaches waiting for the next train to stop there. Further up the line we passed the main station at Talkeetna and we then went over a fast flowing river. This was where three rivers came together as one.
Then we passed another train waiting in a siding.

During the day in the Summer, Alaskan Railways run only passenger trains. Our observation coaches and train are unique to Princess Cruises and are only used for their passengers. Alaskan Railways have their own passenger coaches with the old observation bubble in the middle.
At the side of the track we passed old railway cars and an old snow blower.
Curry is now a ghost town we learnt. It used to be the halfway stopping place on a rail journey from Anchorage and Fairbanks.
