The coach journey to McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge took about two hours along almost empty roads with some great views of Mt Denali along the way.
After leaving the Coral Princess we boarded our scenic train. The train journey from Whittier to Denali took from 7.30 am to 6 pm and passed through Anchorage on its way to Denali.
Our November visit to the Mach Loop was just after the RAF stopped flying through and when the weather turned out to be pretty wet and cloudy. Instead we went looking for places to visit and photograph.
On our last day we went on a P&O excursion to the Atlantic side of Barbados, had lunch in the Atlantis Hotel, called at one of the parish churches before we waited at the airport for our flight to Gatwick to leave.
We were in North Wales staying in Llandundo to attend the PAGB event taking place near there. We took the opportunity to fit in some photography while travelling.
We spent the morning in St Vincent on a beach after a hair raising boat trip. The weather was changeable with lots of sunshine interspersed with heavy rain.
