Lilly, a Barn Owl
Using the replica cottage as a backdrop we photographed Lilly flying backwards and forwards from the cottage to hand.
The two horses had fly screens over their faces that were covered with flies. They spent a lot of time with the fruit trees before coming over to pester the photographers until Bob’s wife moved them away (many times!)
Lily sat and posed for us on the fences.
Roscoe, a European Eagle Owl
We went to the church yard to take photos of Roscoe posing on a gravestones and finally a wall.
Sadly there was no evening glow from the sunset as the sky was overcast.
Specs, a spectacled Owl
The aptly named Specs flew for and posed for us.
Spot, an African Spotted Owl
Spot was the last bird of the evening and was posed for us.
This was my earlier visit to the bird sanctuary at Holdenby House.
