Back in Oslo by the sea
I wanted to see the statue of the silver diver that I had seen on our earlier visit. The piers around the statue were all being repaired but I did manage to get some images of it.
On Rosenkrantz Gate we called into a small cafe and picked up a tuna filled French stick to share. Sitting on a wall opposite we enjoyed the sun and watched the passers walk by as we ate it.
Once past the Central Railway Station I managed a snap shot as a Hercules came in low over our heads.
We sat on a bench on the quay close to where Aurora was docked and again watched the passers by. To get to the secure area around the ship we had to pass through a bar called Salt. This was full both of passengers and locals all sitting enjoying both the beer and the sunshine.
Leaving Oslo
Once on board I watched a ferry coming into dock behind Aurora and enjoyed a pint of Peroni!
The ship was by now firing up and generating lots of black smoke.
Dinner was with our friends in the Peninsular and I had Pithivier of creamed garlic mushrooms, Cumberland sausage ring followed by yet another sundae. This time it was a Strawberry Sensation.
Byron Johnston was playing in the theatre this time and he played music by all of his guitar heroes. It was an excellent set of music.
Sailing out of Oslo at night
Aurora was sailing back down the Oslo fjord after 11 pm and we watched some spectacular skies on our way.
