Street art
I was sat in front seat and our driver slowed down so that I could grab some street art images as we returned to the promenade.
And my favourite at a T-junction.
We left the taxi where we had caught it and set off to find some street art that Linda had seen earlier in the morning. After about 15 minutes we found the mural.
On the doors either side were these images.
This was in the opposite direction to where we would have to catch the shuttle bus. We then set off through the back streets towards the square beside the large church.
Timeout for a beer on the way back
As we passed a small bar we could hear reggae music and we decided that it was beer ‘o’ clock.
We relaxed and enjoyed the beer and the music while we caught up on our separate morning’s activities.
We were greeted warmly as we entered the bar and we watched as every new customer was greeted in the same way. Two guys ordered exotic cocktails which caused much amusement to all of us in the bar. This is where the bar was so we can call again on our next visit.
We walked to the promenade and turned towards the dock entrance…
… and there we caught the next shuttle back to the ship. Out on our balcony we had a gin and tonic and rested our aching legs and feet after all the walking and standing of the day.
Evening on Arcadia
Our evening started in the Crows Nest where I enjoyed a Doom Bar beer. The sun was setting as we sat in the bar.
Dinner was in the main dining room and I started with asparagus, tomato soup, then roast beef followed by a Rocky Road sundae.
The entertainment didn’t look interesting so it was quiz time again at 10.30 pm. We were not successful but at least we didn’t have too many lost opportunities when we chose incorrect answers over correct ones.
