This was my third RPS workshop with Jon Gray. This workshop was titled ‘Art Figure Painting with Light Intensive’ and was at the Coach House Photography Studio in Farningham in Kent.
We had been to this studio before so we left early to make sure that we could get a space in the Pied Bull pub car park.
As we were earlier we went for a walk back up the High Street to have a closer look at the church and the cattle screen.
The cattle screen was built to stop cattle crossing the River Darent from wandering downstream.
The Art figure workshop
The studio was still waiting for repairs to be completed after the fire the year before. This did mean that occasionally we had to have the heating boosted by the chip fat driven space heater!
Our model for the shoot was Irida.
The format for the day followed the earlier workshops, a briefing, then one-to-one sessions with Irida with the attendees. For this workshop I stayed with shooting in RAW all day. Before we started the studio received a heating boost. The only downside was that the heater was using chip fat and the studio gained a new smell as well as a fug from the chip fat!
And my last images were simple head shots.
These are two images that I processed before posting on Instagram.
